- Not to debate your point, but the fact that CBM feeped up in the chipset
- department IMHO does not prove that they were incapable of keeping them
- competitive. It looks more like a management decision to lose the race.

- If my memory is correct, the ten-year Anniversary Issue of Amiga Format
- featured an interview with Dave Haynie that touched this subject. To the
- best of my memory (confirmation anyone?) he described the orders he got as
- "read my lips: No new chipset".

- The general consensus appears to be that AAA could have been finished a
- long time ago if it wasn't for active discouragement from the upper echelons.
- That's not to say that the general consensus is necessarily right of course.
